In order to meet the language application needs of learners who take Chinese as a second language and to continuously improve their Chinese application ability, the Project "Research on Intelligent Computer-Assisted Chinese Writing" was established tostudy the theories, methods, and practices of computer-assisted Chinese learners’ writing, with a view to helping the Chinese learners continue to improve Chinese writing level. The project, from the perspective of intelligent computer-assisted learning, explores the key problems and solutions in intelligent language services which is one of the three main tasks of ACLR. By doing so, this project is in line with the goals of ACLR and can boost the construction of the major discipline International Chinese Education in BLCU. The project also promotes the research on intelligent language learning, and probes technologies for the development of International Chinese Education in the era of AI.
The Intelligent Computer Assisted Writing System is aimed at helping non-native English and Chinese learners, by using advanced artificial intelligence technologies and natural language processing methods to automatically complete the intelligent correction of the composition, including accurate recognition, classification, highlights and correction advice of vocabulary and grammatical errors in the original text.It can not only assist the non-native speakers in writing, and help students grasp writing skills faster, but also coordinate with teachers in writing corrections, thus improving the efficiency of language teaching, and promoting the modernization of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the intelligent application of language learning.
