After the appointment ceremony, Dr. He gave a lecture on “Chinese Language and the United Nations”, introducing the main bodies and structure of the United Nations in detail. He then talked about the usage history, current situation, and status of Chinese language in the UN as well as the Chinese teaching in the UN headquarters in New York relating to his personal experience and the UN history.
The lecture was supported by the live-streaming technology. With the help of WeChat video live broadcast and paperless sharing technology, more faculty and students were able to watch the lecture in real time.
