Introduction:

This Corpus contains more than 4,000 parallel words on 15 themes and 142 topics in five languages: Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and English. The division of the themes is mainly based on the General Curriculum Outline for International Chinese Teaching released by Hanban, covering all aspects of daily life. Topic classification is based on real-life scenarios so that learners can master related words in a relatively short period of time and in a relaxed and fun way. Vocabulary is selected by frequency and practical usage, and referring to the frequency statistics made by Chinese media and Chinese language teaching materials in other countries. In addition to nouns, verbs and adjectives, a large number of phrases are included in the Corpus to help learners to understand the words matching.
