This resource is the result of ACLR's research project Machine Translation for the Olympic Winter Games. The project manager is Professor Liu Yang from Tsinghua University, chief expert of ACLR.
1. Text Translation System
The project completed the Chinese-English text machine translation system, Chinese-Kazakh machine translation system, and Chinese-French machine translation system. The translation performance based on the Winter Olympics data exceeded the mainstream online translation system.
The system is currently in the test stage and will be open to provide services.
2. Voice Translation System
A mobile voice translation system has been customized for the Beijing Winter Olympics utilizing the cutting-edge deep learning technology. The front end of the system is developed on the base of WeChat mini program, and the back end is based on Flask. The system can be easily deployed in the Android system and IOS system, and can be used as long as there is a WeChat app.

The picture above is the interface of the voice translation mini program. The mini program supports translation from both Chinese to English and English to Chinese. The user presses the microphone button and speaks, the system will provide the text and voice of another language. At the same time, the system will also display the result of speech recognition. If the user finds that the recognition result is deviated, he can change it manually. The system will automatically detect the user's modification and return the corresponding translation of the modified.
