Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Teacher Education of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports in Beijing on the morning of June 12, 2019.The two parties agreed to build a “Laos-China International Language and Culture Education and Research Base (Laos Sub-center of Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Language Resources)” in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and Luang Namtha. Besides, they wouldcooperate in other fieldsincluding Chinese language teaching, teacher training, student cultivation, scientific research and academic communication in different levels.

On behalf of the two parties, Liu Li, President of BLCU, andKet Phanlack,Director of the Department of Teacher Education of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports signed the memorandum and made speeches at the Ceremony.
