The 1st International Conference on Language Acquisition, Cognition and Brain Science (CLCB-1) will be held by the Center for Cognitive Science of Language (CCSL) and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Language Resources (ACLR) of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) from June 13th to 14th, 2020, at Beijing, China. CLCB-1 aims at promoting interdisciplinary research in language acquisition and cognition, neuroscience as well as artificial intelligence, and more importantly, enhancing the academic exchanges and cooperation between China and the world.
Research scholars, teachers, and students in related fields will be invited to attend the Conference, and share opinions on the above-mentioned academic areas. In addition, the organizing committee has commenced calling for papers. All contributions and participation are welcomed.

6. Paper Abstract Format and Submission
1) Please write the abstract in Chinese or English.
2) Chinese abstract: No more than 800 characters (references are not included). The title should be in 宋体, size 三号; the text should be written in 宋体, size 小四号, single spaced.
3) English Abstract: No more than 500 words (references are not included), the text should be written in Times New Roman, size 12.
4) The paper abstract should be submitted as a Word file (.doc or .docx) in two copies. One copy should be anonymous for blind review , with the file being named as “submission date- title” (e.g. 200201 The Study on Encephalic Region of Developmental Dyslexia).
The other copy should be indicated under the title with the information (author’s name, affiliation, professional title, email, address, mobile number). The file should be named as “submission date- author’s name- title” (e.g. 200201 Jessie Wang- The Study on Encephalic Region of Developmental Dyslexia).
5) The submission deadline for the abstracts is 1st March, 2020. The submitted abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by the experts. Conference invitations will be sent before 20th March, 2020.
7. Excellent Paper Award for Young Scholars
Excellent Paper Award shall be granted to young scholars to encourage them to study in the fields of language cognition and brain science. CLCB-1 shall issue honorary certificates to the award winners and select the best two winners to present their papers at the closing ceremony. The details are as follows:
1) Applicant Qualifications:
Born in or after 1980 (if the paper is coauthored, the first author should meet the criteria).
2) Requirements:
The submission deadline of the full paper is 1st April, 2020.
The paper must be original and has not published.
The paper should be submitted as a Word file (.doc or .docx) in two copies. One copy should be anonymous for blind review. The other copy should be indicated under the title with the information (author’s name, affiliation, professional title, email, address, mobile number).
Chinese papers should adopt the format of the Commercial Press (please refer to Appendix 2). English papers should adopt APA format.
3) Expert reviewers organized by the Conference Organizing Committee will assess the papers anonymously. The acceptance notification shall be sent before 1st May, 2020.
