This resource is the result of ACLR's research project Construction of Language and Data Repository in China’s Neighboring Countries (6 countries). The project manager is Guo Fenglan, chief expert of ACLR and Professor of BLCU.

This resource includes language resources, language and culture resources, and language literature resources of 11 languages in 3 countries in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and 3 countries in Southeast Asia (Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam).

The database contains the recordings of language resources in 11 languages in the 6 countries in accordance with unified specifications. The contents are as follows:

2. Multimedia Database of Languages and Cultures of China's Neighboring Countries (6 Countries)

According to the unified design, images and videos relating to the languages and cultures of the target countries are obtained by taking photos and recording videos. Pictures about languages and cultures are divided into 10 categories, including houses & constructions, daily utensils, clothing, food, daily activities, marriages and funerals, festivals, and rap performances.

3. Language and Culture Literature Database of China's Neighboring Countries (6 Countries)

According to the unified design, a database has established on language and culture research results and language policy documents. The language and culture research results are divided into dictionaries, monographs, papers, and language and culture materials. In addition to cataloging, physical objects and original ones were collected as many as possible.
