This resource is the result of ACLR's research project Collection of Core Resources of Global Languages and Cultures. The project manager is Liu Xiaohai, Deputy Director of ACLR and Associate Professor of BLCU.
Introduction: The project carries out survey by phases to record the world's major language and culture resources. It selects international students in China as the mother tongue speakers to document and record language and culture resources featuring their countries and nations. Recording contents include Swadesh 207 core words, 123 commonly-used sentences, country introduction, personal introduction, traditional stories and folk songs.
Data size: more than 20,000 resources of 72 countries have been collected; raw language materials are about 13000 G, processed audio and video resources about 300 G; text, picture data a total of 1.39G.
File format: TXT and DOC for texts; MP4 and MTS for audios and videos; JPG for pictures
