On the morning of April 29^th, 2019, ACLR and the Convergence Media Branch of People's Publishing House held a signing ceremony to build the Research Base for the Language and Culture Communicationin the Qingchang Hall on the second floor of the multifunctional building of BLCU. Li Yuming, Director of ACLR, and Zhang Wenyong, Chief of the Convergence Media Branch, signed the cooperation framework agreement and inaugurates the Base together.

The two sides cooperate to build the Base together in an effort to reachthe forefront of language and culture communication with the convergence media. The cooperation includes further development of projects of ACLR, such as publishing works in convergence media version, compiling and publishing The Documentation of Chinese Convergence Media, editing and releasing book series which introduce the culture of China and Arabic countries as well as “multilingual and multimodal network dictionary”. The two sides will also collaborate on building a database of language and culture as well as a network for convergence media.
