This resource is the result of ACLR's research project Machine Translation for the Olympic Winter Games. The project manageris Liu Yang, Professor of Tsinghua University, and chief expert of ACLR.

The project is focused on the major needs for the preparations of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and conducts in-depth research on machine translation. It establishes a machine translation resource database for the Winter Olympics, explores machine translation theories, models and algorithms based on deep learning, and develops a machine translation system between Chinese and English for the Winter Olympics. The project provides key technical support for the cross-language terminology service platform of the Language Service Action Plan for the Beijing Winter Olympics and ACLR's Intelligent Language Service.
